Bito’s AI Architect builds a knowledge graph from your codebase, tickets, design docs, and team conversations, and makes that context available across coding agents, IDEs, issue trackers, and team chat.
Bito-hosted is the fastest way to see what AI Architect changes about how your team ships. Indexing, storage, and the knowledge graph run on Bito’s managed servers, so you get a working setup on your own repositories in minutes and validate the product on your actual workflows from day one.
The setup is self-serve and runs from your browser. Teams that prefer to run AI Architect inside their own environment can use self-hosted instead.
Step 1: Connect your Git provider
After you signup to Bito and create a workspace, start setting up Git integration. Choose SaaS for the cloud version, or Self-managed for an enterprise instance behind your network, then pick GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket.
Authorize Bito on your Git organization. Grant access to all repositories or a subset, then click Install and Authorize.
Step 2: Choose AI Architect as your entry point
Once Git is connected, two product paths show up, AI Architect for deep code context and Code Review Agent for pull request reviews. They share the same knowledge graph.

Step 3: Pick repositories to index
Every repository your Git account can reach shows up with branch, size, and index status. Select the ones you want indexed.
Start with repositories that share context, so the knowledge graph captures real cross service relationships. Skip archived or experimental repos. Watch the indexed size meter against your plan limit.
Click Index selected repositories and you’re done! Bito’s indexing pipeline scans, builds the knowledge graph, and notifies you when it finishes.
Your knowledge graph is live
The AI Architect repositories screen shows the status for each repository, the repo size and indexed size, and toggles to enable or disable which repositories are tracked. Bulk actions let you update many repositories at once, and changes take effect on the next scheduled indexing run.
With the graph live, you can start using AI Architect for grounded code generation in your IDE, cross-repo impact analysis on stories, faster developer onboarding, and a live view of your engineering system.
Git integration gets the graph started. It completes when it pulls in the context that lives outside code, ticket history in Jira and Linear, conversations in Slack, decisions in Confluence. From the Home screen, you can:
- Set up MCP for your coding agents
- Install Bito in Jira or Linear
- Add Bito to Slack
- Index your Confluence pages
The graph fills out as you connect more sources.
- Tag Bito on Jira or Linear tickets for feasibility analysis, impact assessment, or to capture decisions that hold across surfaces.
- Tag Bito in Slack channels for incident discussions, team conventions, or updates to how AI Architect should reason about your system.
- Confluence indexing brings in design documents and architecture decisions.
