Bito’s AI Code Review Agent now learns from your feedback, making future code reviews more relevant and accurate. With this update, you can customize reviews in two ways:

  1. Provide feedback on Bito-reported issues (NEW) – When developers provide negative feedback, the AI adjusts to refine future suggestions. On GitHub, this includes selecting the feedback checkbox. On GitLab, it recognizes specific negative emojis like thumbs down and X sign. For all platforms, manual review comments also help filter out similar suggestions in future PRs.

  2. Submit your custom code review guidelines (EXISTING) – Teams with specific coding practices can send their review guidelines to Bito, and we’ll integrate them directly into their workspace.

Introducing custom code review rules

Bito’s AI Code Review Agent refines its suggestions based on real-world feedback. When you react with negative emojis or comments on Bito-reported issues, the AI automatically creates review rules to prevent similar suggestions in future PRs.

  • These rules apply at the repository level for a specific programming language to ensure context-aware refinement.
  • Newly generated rules remain disabled by default and are automatically enabled after receiving three instances of negative feedback.
  • Users can manually enable or disable rules anytime through the rules settings.
  • Positive feedback does not affect rule creation, ensuring only unwanted suggestions are filtered.

Customizing AI reviews to fit your workflow

Along with automated learning, Bito also supports custom code review guidelines for teams with specific coding practices:

  • Available for teams of 10+ developers on the Team plan and comes with an additional charge.
