This week, we’re expanding AI-powered code reviews and making development smoother with deeper GitLab integration. Plus, we enhanced JetBrains support. Here’s what’s new: 

1. GitLab now supports checkbox feedback for code reviews 

GitLab users can now provide feedback on AI-suggested code reviews by selecting a checkbox in the feedback question when marking a suggestion as invalid. This feature was previously only available for GitHub. 

Users can provide feedback in two ways: 

• New addition: Select the checkbox in the feedback question to mark a suggestion as invalid. 

• Existing: React with a thumbs down emoji or leave a comment explaining the issue. 

Custom rules appear in the Review Rules dashboard in Bito Cloud and apply at the repository level.  

2. Apply Change button is now available in JetBrains IDEs 

The one-click Apply Change feature, already available in VS Code, is now available for JetBrains IDEs. This means developers can apply AI-suggested code edits easily without manual copy-pasting. 

What’s new? 

• “Apply” button with every AI code suggestion: Easily identify and apply AI-suggested changes. 

• Interactive change review: Review modifications in a diff view before accepting them. 

• One-click code updates: Accept or reject suggestions inline without manual copy-pasting. 

3. Bug fix: Apply button visibility in IDE queries 

Thanks to developer feedback, we spotted a small bug in ‘AI that understands your code’-based queries that caused the Apply button to be hidden when file paths were displayed in code blocks. This issue has now been fixed. Keep the feedback coming! 

Fix Details: 

• File paths in code blocks no longer obstruct the Apply button. 

• The parser now correctly handles empty file coordinates. 

• Improved metadata validation ensures accurate UI rendering.
