This week’s release brings smarter defaults, more efficient AI code reviews , and smoother UI tweaks. While most of these are minor fixes under the hood of Bito’s AI Code Review Agent, they’re part of our constant push to improve the developer experience.
Here’s what’s new:
1. Include branches replaces exclude branches
In earlier versions of Bito’s AI Code Review Agent, users could exclude specific Git branches from code reviews using the “Exclude Branches” filter. That’s now replaced with a more intuitive inclusion-based filter.
By default, Bito’s AI Code Review Agent now reviews only the repository’s default branch, like main
. You can explicitly add other branches you want CRA to review by using the Include Source/Target Branches filter.
To configure this, go to the CRA agent list, click the Edit button next to an agent, and navigate to the Filters tab.

All existing exclusion filters have been migrated to this new format. This update helps you avoid unnecessary reviews and Advanced AI request usage on non-critical branches.
2. More efficient AI code reviews
We’ve reduced Advanced AI request usage and made reviews faster by improving our AI prompts.
3. Improved code context with SCIP
Bito now uses SCIP (Symbolic Code Intelligence Format) to extract symbol-level information in your code files. It builds a richer understanding of your code structure including functions, variables, and references to improve context during reviews.
(Currently available for JavaScript/TypeScript files)
Minor bug fixes
- GitLab no longer shows a personal group when a group access token is used
- “Manage Rules” link now correctly appears in GitHub review questions
We ship fast because we build for developers
If it helps your workflow, we ship it. Every week. This is what building for developers looks like: practical fixes, smarter defaults, and a relentless focus on speed. Try the updates and let us know what you think.
