Making AI-powered development more seamless, Bito is rolling out three major updates this week: Apply Change for effortless code edits, an improved GitLab OAuth flow for a smoother integration experience, and Bito Wingman, our new AI coding agent, now available in VS Code for all users.

Apply AI-Suggested Edits in One Click

With Bito’s new Apply Change feature, you can now apply AI-suggested modifications in your IDE, preview them in a diff view, and decide what to keep — all without disrupting your workflow.

Where you can use apply change

  • Bito AI Chat: Get AI-powered code suggestions and apply them instantly without manual copy-pasting.
  • Context Menu Suggestions: Select code in your editor, request an AI edit, and apply it in place.

How it works

Instead of manually inserting suggested changes, Bito now opens an interactive diff view, allowing you to:

  • Review modifications before applying them.
  • Accept or reject specific changes inline.
  • Use keyboard shortcuts for faster editing.

This makes AI-assisted coding smoother, reduces errors, and keeps you in control of your edits.

Improved GitLab OAuth Flow

Connecting Bito to GitLab is now more intuitive with our improved OAuth authentication flow. We’ve redesigned the experience to make authorizing Bito simpler, eliminating unnecessary steps while maintaining security.

With this update, setting up Bito’s AI Code Review Agent on GitLab is now faster and more seamless, ensuring automated code reviews run smoothly without authentication hurdles.

What’s new?

  • Easy Authorization: A streamlined login flow for GitLab cloud and self-managed instances.
  • Better Token Management: Automatic validation and refresh of access tokens, reducing the need for manual intervention.
  • Clearer UI: A more intuitive layout with clear action steps for authentication and group selection.

With these improvements, integrating Bito with GitLab is now faster and easier than ever.
